My last trip to Japan was a fast turnaround. I got into Tokyo in early evening and had to catch a Shinkansen in the morning. Someone told me that going for a swim would help hydrate me. I didn’t unpack put on my swimsuit and robe and went up to the pool. When I got back to my room, I realized I hadn’t unpacked. I decided to sit down for a moment. I woke up four hours later, still in my robe and swimsuit.
Before I retired, I traveled a lot for work. Once after traveling to several cities, I woke in the wee hours trying to remember where the bathroom was and broke out laughing when I realized I was in my own bedroom! Nancy Aronson, Bethesda, MD
We arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan very late at night, finally going to sleep around two am. At 5am, the TV came on at full volume with a man speaking very loudly in Arabic. We sat straight up, "What? Where are we?" Scared us and TV couldn't be muted or turned off. "Ah," we finally realized after several disconcerting minutes, "it's the morning call to prayer" The TV did that several times a day but it was a beautiful part of traveling in that part of the world.

Good one! Iden has fallen asleep in his clothes the last two nights. I think he's trying to catch up on his sleep.

We'll be here a while, so don't worry -- we'll hit some of those places.
