Greetings from Basel, Switzerland!
For the last two weeks, we’ve been touring Switzerland, including Basel, Zürich and the Alps. We can’t wait to tell you about it.
What’s your most outrageous holiday travel experience? We’ve been on the road during Thanksgiving. It’s been a relatively smooth experience because they don’t celebrate the American holidays here. But it’s a great opportunity to remember our “Plains, Trains and Automobiles” holiday-travel experience. Please tell us about it in the comments.

As promised, here’s the new visitor pavilion at Novartis, Switzerland’s secret city. I have details in the morning’s Forbes story.
The Swiss Alps in Graubünden, Switzerland. I think this picture speaks for itself.
At the Dolder Grand in Zürich, Switzerland. We stayed here one night. They have great hiking trails behind the hotel.
Don’t forget this week’s question: What’s your most outrageous holiday travel experience? We can’t wait to read your comments in our next podcast.
Having just visited Lucerne, it was really fun to listen to this episode! I would have enjoyed hearing exactly what Iden doesn't like about Swiss food! And, also more about the differences in language, such as word examples, between German and Swiss German from Aren. Thanks for these podcasts, gentlemen. They are really fun.
Thanks. I will ask Aren for some pointers on Swiss German vs. Hochdeutsch in our next podcast.
I would like that. We’re going back to Switzerland in December, and it’s been years since we’ve been there. My husband speaks good Hochdeutsch, and I speak a little, but we sometimes struggle in Switzerland!
Nächste Woche!
