Would you book a ticket on a dying airline?
Spirit says it has “substantial doubt” it can survive the next year. Should you take the risk?
Last January, we asked if the government killed Spirit Airlines by blocking its merger with JetBlue. And now, we have the answer: probably. Or maybe it did this to itself.

For travelers staring at those ultra-low fares, it raises an uncomfortable question: is saving a few bucks worth the gamble?
