Will this new law end hidden hotel fees for good?
Proposed legislation could finally force hotels to show true prices upfront. But will hotels find a way around it?
The war against hidden hotel fees is is finally nearing an end — maybe.
The Hotel Fees Transparency Act of 2025 sailed through the Senate Commerce Committee earlier this year and appears headed for passage. But here's the big question: Will this actually end the practice of hidden fees, or will hotels simply find new ways to game the system?
