In this episode of the Elliott Confidential podcast, we talk about how to survive an overnight flight from Africa. Plus, how to deal with an emergency on the road. And we have a report on the cats of Istanbul.

Here’s a link to the Washington Post story about sleeping on planes that I mentioned at the start of the podcast.

I’ll be honest — I thought that Kedi, the documentary about the cats of Istanbul, was a little staged. But it is not. The city is run by cats.

We talked about the cats during this podcast. Here are a few photos:

We saw this guy near the Grand Bazaar.

The cats are very affectionate and love to be petted.

Istanbulites take care of the cats, giving them food, water and shelter but allowing them to roam the streets. Even this little guy could go anywhere he wanted.

Have you ever seen a stray cat or dog in your travels? Did you take a picture? The comments are open.
