I’ll be honest — I thought that Kedi, the documentary about the cats of Istanbul, was a little staged. But it is not. The city is run by cats.

The cats are very affectionate and love to be petted.
Istanbulites take care of the cats, giving them food, water and shelter but allowing them to roam the streets. Even this little guy could go anywhere he wanted.
