My favorite walk was through all of the magnificent structures at Machu Picchu, Seeing is believing.

My all time favorite walk was “the Long Walk” in front of Windsor Castle. It was one of my bucket list items and I took this walk on a beautiful sunny May day in 2016.

Favorite walk is in the Swiss Alps in the summer/fall. Take funicular up to Murren, a car free village, and just walk out of town all the way down to the valley or for just a short walk - you'll be directly across from the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Eiger, Monch & Jungfrau with only the sounds of cowbells for company - it's a little bit of heaven.

A 'grand circle' walk through Reykjavik, Iceland. Start anywhere along the route, and visit the University of Iceland campus including the sleekly modern National Museum and National Library, walk along the park bordering the beach out to Seltjarnanes, to the Grotta Island lighthouse, back along the Grandi lava rock sea wall to the Whale and Saga museums. Pass the busy harbor and into the downtown area with Harpa, the all glass symphony hall, trendy shops, wonderful places to eat and people watch, visit the beautiful city hall by The Pond to feed the swans, ducks and gulls and pass the Althing, Iceland's Parliament.( the world's oldest still in existence, founded in 930 AD). If you're getting tired ( or COLD! ) stop at one of the dozens of inviting coffee houses/bookstores before visiting the iconic Hallgrimskirka, a cathedral patterned after a Viking helmet, then on to Perla, a hilltop glass domed building atop a water reservoir, which has exhibit halls, restaurants, gift shop and the best views of the anywhere in the city. It's a long walk, but do- able with the right shoes! One of my favorite places in the world!

We do love urban hiking, a term I have used for years and encompassing a lot in London,

Paris, Rome, Venice. Have you done Richmond Park outside of London?

My favorite is not urban but in Italy’s Dolomites, across the Alpe di Siusi from AlpenHotel Panorama to a Zallinger Hütte. Glorious views, moderately strenuous, and not crowded with the reward of strudel midway on the trek and lunch with beer at the end. A perfect day! Sigh. We’ll be there in 2 weeks!

My favorite walk is along any beach. The rushing of the waves, crunching or softness of the sand and depending on where, searching for shells or sea glass

My favorite walk was walking across the Golden Gate Bridge with my 12 year old grandson. We saw several whales.

I consider myself a city gal and love walking in whatever city I’m visiting. London is one of my favorites and I visit it every second year.

On Maui: the oceanfront walk from DT Fleming Beach Park to Napili or the old golf course trail by the Ritz Carlton; Cape Town, South Africa: one of the many trails up Table Mountain; Great Britain: the Lake District . . . too many great choices to name, but we love staying in Grasmere and choosing a daily hike, they are all beautiful; Italy: any of the great hikes from the villages around Lake Como.

The Cambus O’May outside Ballater, Scotland. You go up a slight hill and you’re in a beautiful birch wood forest, with lovely vistas, water and interesting plant and wildlife. Very peaceful, and you can take different lengths of walks depending on your mood.

My favorite walk is crossing the desert between the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid at Dashur in Egypt. You can also see the Black Pyramid, crumbled in the distance. It's about a mile walk. I love having no other noise than the wind blowing while taking in the sight of these two massive pyramids built before the ones at Giza.

Walking along Hadrian's Wall in the north of England. Newcastle is urban and a highway lies over the old wall but take the bus out of town and begin. We had a package that covered bed and breakfasts along the way with luggage carried to the next stop every day. The walk is lovely even in rainy weather. We stopped in Carlisle and took a bus to the very eastern end. Highly recommend.

What about San Francisco? We live very close to it but we have never hiked it. We also like to walk all over Buenos Aires. We love it there, especially October and part of November when the jacarandas are all in bloom

The Belmont Walkway on Bequia Island in the Caribbean is my favorite walk. The concrete and stone walkway skirts along the aquamarine shoreline passing by dinghy docks, small hotels, restaurants, bars and dive shops. The tree shaded walk connects to Princess Margaret Beach while presenting a classic picturesque Caribbean anchorage. One can stop for an ice cream cone or rum punch and then jump in the water for a cooling swim in the clear blue water. Paradise!

Please give the address of the Tiffin Box Indian Restaurant mentioned in last week's podcast.

There seem to be several on Google - one permanently closed, other on the outskirts.

Which did you recommend?
