South Korea had the most beautiful Buddhist temple we’ve seen so far. I’m not sure if Iden was checking his messages or taking a picture. I’ll go with taking a picture.
In the ancient capital of Gyeongju, all of the buildings — even the new ones — have the same traditional architecture. Makes for great photos.
The boys spent hours exploring the temples yesterday, and we still didn’t have enough time. If you go, give yourself at least half a day to see the sights.
Our visit to Hiroshima was unforgettable. We’ve never been to a museum where no one says a word, but spend a few hours in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, and you will be alone with your thoughts. It’s as quiet as a church.
The convenience stores in Japan have everything. Iden has a lot to say about Japan’s 7-Elevens in this podcast. That’s been his go-to for lunch.
