Pangrati Confidential: An insider tour of Athens and stadium secrets

This week's podcast comes to you from the Pangrati neighborhood of Athens, Greece. We skipped last week's broadcast because we got sick. We'll tell you what we had and how it shaped our impressions of the Greek capital.

Here's Aren and Dustin at the top of Lycabettus Hill. It's a strenuous hike to the summit, but well worth the effort. You can see all of Athens from here, including the Mediterranean. 

Here's the view of Panathenaic Stadium from the track. If you know the secret entrance, you can access this part of the stadium without paying the $11 admission fee. We discovered it through Athens with a Local, a program that pairs you with a volunteer guide. By the way, this is the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble.

Athens is filled with historical buildings and beautiful churches. If you've never been inside an active Greek Orthodox church, I highly recommend a visit. The paintings and icons are highly Instagrammable. It's also much cooler inside the churches, which helps on a 90-degree day.
