Episode 2: A completely unrehearsed conversation about South Africa, including a township tour, a bumpy boat ride and road trip in a Jeep. Recorded in Cape Town 2/26/22
I have enjoyed both podcasts immensely. Hope Aren feels better soon, I cannot eat eggplant, so I definitely sympathize. Have you seen any blooming jacaranda trees? They re most beautiful.
Please address the personal safety risks of SA travel. The country has a reputation as one of the more violent places to visit . . . unless you stay in cloistered tourist resort areas. Is this true or urban myth? Thanks!
Following your ZA adventure, reminds me of the adventures I took part in day after day for 24 days. I also traveled on their Greyhound which served complementary cookies candies and a soft drink. Also traveled on the most luxurious overnight bus Translux where we were supplied with pillows and blankets and also complementary refreshments. Very fond memories of ZA. (Zuid Africa) for those readers who might not be familiar to the real name of South Africa)

We have seen so many beautiful plants here. It's worth an entire episode! 🍃

That's a great question. We'll add that to our list of things to discuss in the next episode.
Love your podcasts! South Africa is one place I have never gotten around to seeing.
Thank you, Alan.

Oh wow, that sounds like a real adventure.
We saw many jacaranda trees lining the streets in Johannesburg. Hope you will see some.
