Earlier this week, I suggested travelers had lost faith in their loyalty programs. It seems the U.S. government agrees.
The Department of Transportation on Thursday launched a probe into the four largest U.S. airlines’ rewards programs. It’s aimed at protecting rewards customers from potential unfair, deceptive, or anticompetitive practices.
So maybe it’s time to ask the question: Should the government regulate loyalty programs?
