Survey says Ukraine conflict is twice as likely as Covid-19 to derail travel
Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine, experts have played a guessing game when it comes to the effects on travel. Will the war affect summer vacations to Europe?
Now we have some hard numbers.
A new survey by MMGY Travel Intelligence suggests the Ukraine conflict is twice as likely as Covid-19 to affect travel. In a new poll, 62 percent of U.S. travelers cited concerns about the war in Ukraine spreading to nearby countries as a factor affecting their plans to travel to Europe. That's twice the rate(31 percent) who cited COVID-19 health and safety concerns as a factor.
But how many Americans are in "wait-and-see" mode?
