Here come the "surge" airline fees!

You'll pay more to check luggage if you fly during peak periods on JetBlue. But is that a good idea?

We should probably stop asking, "What will they think of next?" because when it comes to fees, the airline industry can't stop innovating.

The latest upgrade is JetBlue's announcement that it will apply surge pricing to its luggage fees. If you fly during peak periods, you'll pay more to check your bags. If you travel during a less busy time, you'll pay a little less.
