For years, airline passengers have struggled to get refunds for flights disrupted because of cancellations, delays, or schedule changes.
Not anymore. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) this week implemented a final rule that mandates automatic cash refunds for passengers in specific circumstances, making it easier than ever for them to get their money back when airlines fail to deliver.
But will the new rule survive?
