Cases like Linsey Moore's are a real nail-biter. She'd rented a truck from Budget in December and says she dropped the vehicle off on time. Budget claims it didn't find the rental in the parking lot until days later and then charged her $6,076 in late fees.

In a situation like this, you need to negotiate with the car rental company. Instead,  Moore filed a chargeback under the Fair Credit Billing Act.
