Consumer Alert: If you're owed a refund, you have to do this now
Businesses love to make promises. Some of them are hoping you will forget.
If a business promises you a refund, there's one thing you absolutely must do right now.
And that's especially true if you've purchased something through a third party, like an online travel agency.
Consider what happened to Andrea Jaegli after she booked an airline ticket from Zurich to Hong Kong through Gotogate, an online travel agency. In March 2022, the flight was canceled and Gotogate promised her a refund via Thai Airways.
"I have not received my money," she says.
