Companies don't like to give your money back — especially if it's a fee
It's an eternal struggle, trying to get a refund from a travel company. But when there's a fee involved — well, good luck.
Consider Fernando Rivera's problem. He had to cancel a Norwegian Cruise Line sailing because his travel agency forgot to process his last payment (oops!). He got all of his money back, minus a $656 fee, which would have come out of his travel agent's pocket.
