The memberships are costly and have no value

Watch out for scammy travel clubs that offer unrealistic travel discounts in exchange for a pricey annual membership.

Ryan DeLuca wishes he had turned down the offer to join a travel club that promised him "VIP" rates on airline tickets and hotels.  

"It was a high-pressure environment," he remembers.
