On a recent flight from Rome to San Francisco, Kathleen Cancilla discovered her business class seat was broken. It sat rigid in the upright position for the entire 13-hour flight, unresponsive to her button-pushing. Now, she wants the $6,890 she paid to ITA Airways refunded.
ITA responded months after her flight, but only after my advocacy team asked about Cancilla’s business-class breakdown. Its disappointing answer is a reminder that most airlines are not generous, even during the holidays — especially during the holidays.
