Flight attendants have walked off the job after contract talks collapsed. Within hours, Air Canada locked out its cabin crews, grounding hundreds of flights and leaving as many as 130,000 passengers per day stranded. While the Canadian government quickly intervened with binding arbitration to force attendants back to work, the airline has warned that it could take several days — possibly up to a week — to restore its schedule.
