Can you travel without a credit card?
FRIDAY FORUM: It's getting harder to get around without plastic. Should you even try?
Whoever said cash is king didn't travel much. It is almost impossible to book a plane ticket, a hotel room, or a rental car without plunking down your Visa or Mastercard.
So when we got word this week that Avis paid a $275,000 fine for denying car rentals to consumers traveling without a credit card, that got me thinking: Can you even travel without a card these days?
