The latest Consumer Price Index has some stunning news for air travelers: The price of a domestic airline ticket plunged by 18.6 percent in July to $241. But is air travel getting more affordable?
The fall in fares is part of a broader trend. In June, ticket prices dropped 18.9 percent, down 8 percent from the previous June.
