Just in case there was any doubt, new research released this morning from Temple University's Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management confirms that travel is back — in a big way.
Researchers asked how soon Americans plan to take a domestic or international trip. Twenty percent said they planned to travel domestically "immediately." (Makes sense, given the holiday travel season that's just starting.)
About the same number say they plan to travel within one to two months, and roughly the same number plan to get away in three to six months, according to Temple.
Another 17 percent say they plan to travel soon but haven't made reservations yet. Less than 2 percent said they don't plan to travel within the next year.
