Tierra del Sol Golf Course protects it's Shoco nests and Aruba also protects turtle nests. There are also many groups who protect stray animals. Sunsets are beautiful, Arubans are friendly and kind and the island is wonderful. Sadly, it is becoming overbuilt and I worry about the future.

I appreciated your comments about the ATV environmental damage in Aruba. We didn't ride one but witnessed the overwhelming dust, etc, when we saw them near us. Travel should enhance our appreciation of an areas, and limit its environmental destruction,

I’m an avid cyclist and even in Aruba I rent a bike and go up to the lighthouse and then go around and do the dirt road all the way down and up to the church. Beautiful views and desert likeI really don’t like seeing the ATVs in the jeeps going by with their fumes. I love Aruba one of the best islands we’ve been to and we try and go every year. Very clean.

Be active. Bike!!

But next time instead of taking ATVs Chris, you should rent bikes by the windsurfing places by the Ritz island and BIKE, lots of alcohol any kind of liquid

Maybe a new travel agent for you? Someone booked a Soviet style hotel for you in Croatia? And, yes Dubrovnik, after it was bombed in 1991, was rebuilt for what seems essentially for cruise ship visitors. We found Croatia to rival, or exceed any coastal area in western Europe. Did you get to Korcula island, Brac Island, Hvar Island, Split, Trogir, or Makarska? Just a few we were able to visit, and, sadly we didn’t get to the much hyped Plitvice Lakes National Park. We did make trips to nearby Montenegro, a perfect match of spectacular antiquity and modern seaside living, the latter created by Russian oligarchs. And 24 hours in very different and vibrant Mostar, Bosnia, was well worth it for us. As for Aruba, it has one of the best year-round climates anywhere, if you like warm weather, and wearing long pants on the beach might seem a bit misleading. Thank you for alerting everyone to the precious stuff there that needs saving from some tourists. Smiley face.
